The Treverva Male Voice Choir mark ninety years since they formed in the village just up the road, joined by Cornish shanty favourites The Oggymen and songwriter Harry Glasson. Expect big hearted Cornish singing, plenty of fun and a few numbers all together.
Saturday 12 September, from 7pm · Princess Pavilion, Melvill Road
Around fifty musicians bring an evening of film and show music to the Pavilion, sweeping from soft, delicate moments to big, bold finales. A relaxed, feel good night out.

A high energy night of house and drum and bass, with Ros Atkins joined by Andy Cato of Groove Armada for a history of house set, plus MC Chickaboo on the mic. One for later on if you fancy a proper dance in town.

A big exhibition celebrating a hundred years of Cornish surfing, with boards, film and stories. A lovely couple of hours and a fine rainy-day plan.
Any day · Gyllyngvase Beach
Falmouth's main beach: soft sand, gently shelving water and the Gylly Beach cafe right there for a coffee or lunch. Lovely first thing before the day warms up.
Any day, an easy hour or two · Falmouth town centre and quays
Falmouth's old streets, Church Street, Arwenack Street and the quays, are full of independent shops, galleries and makers. An easy, happy wander whatever the weather.
Any day, a gentle hour · Pendennis headland
Follow the coast path around Pendennis headland, with the castle above you and the mouth of the harbour below. A gentle hour and some of the best views in Falmouth.
Any day, about 45 minutes each way · South West Coast Path, from Gyllyngvase
Follow the coast path west from Gyllyngvase, past Swanpool and its little nature reserve, all the way to the sandy cove at Maenporth. Mostly level, big sea views the whole way, and a cafe at each end.
On now, down on Events Square · Events Square, Discovery Quay
A big observation wheel right on the waterfront, with 360 degree views over the harbour, the town and the bay. A fun few minutes and a lovely thing to do towards dusk.
Daily sailings from Prince of Wales Pier · Prince of Wales Pier, Falmouth
Catch the passenger ferry across the estuary to the pretty village of St Mawes. Twenty minutes on the water each way, with a wander, a pasty or a pint at the far end.
