Eat & drink
Our honest favourites, the places we actually go.
Right by the beach
- Gylly Beach Cafe sits right on Gyllyngvase Beach, about two minutes from your door. Chilled vibe, a lovely outdoor terrace, dog friendly, and good from breakfast through to dinner. The closest spot to the apartments by far.
Dinner favourites
- Gylly Beach Cafe: our nearest and a favourite, relaxed with a great terrace.
- The Shed: a really good shout if you fancy heading into town.
- Fives Cyderhouse: brilliant pizzas, great with kids, and the biggest beer garden in Falmouth.
- Windjammer Cafe & Bar: down on the harbour, great in the evening too.
- All of these welcome dogs.
Pubs we love
- Fives Cyderhouse: pizza, cider and a huge garden.
- The Chain Locker: proper harbourside pub with water views.
- The Grapes: another good one with sea views.
Breakfast, brunch & coffee
Windjammer Cafe & Bar: our favourite breakfast in Falmouth, hands down.
Base: a really cute spot down Boslowick doing acai bowls and great coffee.
Gylly Beach Cafe: does a good breakfast too, right on the sand.
Fish & chips, pasties & ice cream
- Fish and chips: two very good chippies, Penmere Fish Bar and Harbour Lights. Bay View guests get 10% off at Harbour Lights, see the deals below.
- Ciuri Ciuri: wonderful Italian gelato on Church Street, made by an Italian couple.
- Roskilly's: proper Cornish ice cream from their farm on the Lizard, shop in town.
- Pasties: Oggy Oggy (near Harbour Lights) does a good one, and the Cornish Bakery is a safe bet too.
